Based on a typical Japanese children television robot series. The amount of money they put into this seems to be rather low.
Gameplay: 1/10 Gameplay consists of selecting one of the characters and moving around and punching or kicking the enemies depending on which of the three characters you choose. You do get a special weapon such as a gun for one of them or a sword for the other which is more powerful and has a longer range than your usual attack. Of course, your special weapon has a limited amount of uses and you'll have to collect more power-ups to use it. This might make it sound like your character should be fairly alright against the enemies. Unfortunately, your character, for all his super cool looking armour is somehow or rather faced with extremely fast and dangerous enemies which seem to have an extremely long range hand attacks or are extremely fast.
Perhaps the saving grace of the gameplay is the boss fights where your character summons up his vehicle and merges with it to form a fast moving robot that can actually dodge the attacks of the enemy. Perhaps best of all, all you have to do is to charge up and unleash your super attack. In doing so you'll automactically damage the boss. Simply repeat this and avoid the boss and you'll win the game. If the game had solely been based around these battles I think the game would have been short, sweet, way too easy but cool nonetheless.
Graphics: 2/5 The graphics are quite alright but rather bland. Nothing special although the robot designs and transformation cut-scenes are pretty cool.
Sound and Music: 1/5 The sound is average for a console game at the time. While the music is almost certainly based on the Japanese robot cartoon shows sound tracks they could have at least made it sound clearer and cooler.
Game design: 1/5 Having somehow managed to survive to the fourth level I can say that the game design is extremely poor. The poor gameplay makes the game virtually unplayable and you have to memorise when the enemies are going to charge at you. At the other end, the boss battles are way too easy.
Longevity: 0.5/5 The only possible reason why you might want to play this is to watch the cut-scenes and the robot transformation. That's about it.
For: Cool boss battles and robots. Against: Gameplay everywhere else except in the boss battles is too hard.
