First off, people on the site nominated their games. A total of 36 games were nominated. These 36 games were split into 4 groups of 9. Basically each group was given a period of time for people to vote. The best games advanced to the Semi-Finals and the 2nd best games went into Repecharge. Some games were given a 2nd chance and were picked to go into the WildCard group. The best WildCard games went into the Repecharge. The Repecharge went ahead and the best games of that went into the Semi-Finals. There were 2 Semi-Final groups. The best of the Semi-Finalists went into the ultimate Final Group showdown. The game with the most votes in the Final Group was given the Emunalysis Best Game Ever Award 2003. How were they split into 4 groups of 9? Well, the games were all listed in alphabetical order. From top to bottom, they were split into 4 groups. Then from each group starting at the top, the 1st game of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th groups were picked, and put into Group One. This was repeated until there were 9 games in Group One and the whole thing was repeated again for Groups Two, Three and Four. How much time did for each group did people have time to vote? All Groups except the Final Group were given about 7 to 9 days. The Final Group was given about 8 weeks. |
